Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of?

I was recently accepted to the Radio Academy with a major radio station here in S.A which I start in August and on par with that was producing and hosting my own radio show on a digital media platform, MUTHAFM, I have taken so much value from these, forever grateful

What’s the biggest misconception about DJing?

Society has created this perception that becoming a DJ will make you popular and adored, rich and famous and so playing music only to obtain those qualities completely removes what the actual beautiful purpose of music is in the end, personal creativity is the limit for what you can do, and it's endless. But, it takes work and dedication, and often newer DJs may not realize how much goes into it! It's an art and not a status.

How would you describe your style?

I found my groove when I started to combine progressive and melodic techno in my sets, they just compliment each other so well

What type of music do you usually DJ?

My style varies from deep tech, progressive house and melodic techno, that's my principle style and my secondary style is organic house,, desert tech vibes

Analog or digital and why?

I am more digital than analogue, and this is purely because the majority of gigs and platforms I play for are digitally setup but when I produce I prefer analogue as I am able to make raw sounds, organic vibe i.e. no synths or manipulation of instruments

What do you like most about DJing?

I love the whole journey, from going on the treasure hunt to find new tracks, putting them together and finally playing it. I am most definitely a journey/story teller dj, and for me to see a crowd read that story with me is the ultimate gift. The music!

How long have you been DJing?

I have been producing for 9 years and djing for 5 years

What’s your typical work process?

working on a tighter and more solid process, trial and error at times

Tell us about your studio setup.

So my besties aka the gear that makes my studio perfectly work for me is my 2 x M-AUDIO BX 8 monitors, my Traktor S4MK2 controller, Steinburg sound card, Taktile 49 ket synth keyboard. which I run through my Steinburg soundcard using Traktor S4 Controller, mic ready and all with pretty damn cool décor and character.

Can you share one DJ tip?

Practice to allow your music to be able to reflect who you are you as much as possible.

What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

How many words am I allowed for the question…to name a top class quality few….Max Cooper, Evan Kotton (S.A), ARTBAT, Freddy Mercury, Ryan Murgatroyd, Dandara

BIO "Her eclectic mix of deep tech, progressive house and techno, gives Jade a versatility that is suited to intimate venues and festival slots alike.

Since entering the studio in 2011, her music production journey began, a self-taught pianist ,since early child hood, was a big influence. As her knowledge of music and determination evolved over the years, it was in 2017 that she found herself behind the decks, combining knowledge and pure passion of the art, expressing her purest reflection of who she is. Jade has recently started adding live instruments too her mixes ,either adding harmony, a synth or a bassline. In the end, personal creativity is the limit for what you can do, and its endless."
